General comments
Voor een optimale absorptie van flucloxacilline moet de patiënt nuchter zijn. Kan dit niet (bijvoorbeeld bij continue sondevoeding) dan is amoxicilline + clavulaanzuur een betere optie.
Bij penicilline allergie: zie Odin-protocol 'Werkwijze bij antibiotica gerelateerde overgevoeligheid’ (Odin 049799). Voor deze indicatie kan cefazoline iv of clindamycine po worden overwogen.
