General comments

  • In principe niet behandelen tenzij er geen andere oorzaken voor de (langdurige) buik- en/of diarreeklachten zijn vastgesteld
  •  Asymptomatisch dragerschap komt frequent voor.

Vanwege neurotoxiciteit die bij een cumulatieve dosis van 10 gram kan optreden, dient men na te gaan of clioquinol ooit eerder gebruikt is. In dat geval niet gebruiken.
